I live with my wife near Seven Dials in Brighton.
My interest in body work began with the discovery of Chi Kung (Qigong) through the martial arts in 1999. Energy cultivation and meditation subsequently became my main interest and focus after they helped me to recuperate from a serious injury sustained while cycling.
After moving to Brighton I received Shiatsu for a muscle spasm in my shoulder. I was so struck with the positive results from just one session that I decided to pursue my interests professionally and began training with the Brighton Shiatsu College in 2003.
The main style of Shiatsu taught at the college is Zen Shiatsu, as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory, anatomy, physiology, pathology and Moxa (heat therapy).
Personally I have found Zen Shiatsu to be a wonderful way to promote personal health and growth.
I also provide one to one Seiki treatments in addition to Shiatsu. I have been involved in Seiki practice for 5 years. Seiki is an intuitive and spontaneous healing art with roots in Japanese Shinto, developed by Shiatsu master Akinobu Kishi.
